First foods means arms in it up to the elbow. This is the bib that covers the sleeves too.

Twelve hedgehogs to a bib. Counted them. A long-sleeve smock bib in Hedgehogs — hedgehogs among woodland stems on white. Full-sleeve coverage in 100% Reprieve® recycled polyester with a TPU waterproof coating — OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified — with a snap closure at the back and elasticized cuffs. Stain-resistant and odor-resistant, so it wipes clean and goes again. For first foods, baby-led weaning, and anything involving tomato sauce.

The bib, in detail. Covers the arms to the wrist and the front to the lap — 14 in across, 13 in neck to hem, 32 in cuff to cuff. Wipe it under the tap or machine wash; tumble dry low. Don’t iron — heat damages the waterproof layer. Sized roughly 4 months to 3 years.

Common questions

When do we need the long sleeves?

First foods and baby-led weaning — anywhere arms end up in the bowl. Past about two, most kids move to a shorter silicone bib.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — a TPU waterproof coating over recycled polyester. Spaghetti sauce stays on the bib, not the shirt.

How do I clean it?

Wipe under the tap or machine wash, then tumble dry low. Don’t iron — heat damages the waterproof layer.

What age does it fit?

Roughly 4 months to 3 years, depending on the kid.

When you'll reach for it. The puree months and early baby-led weaning, when a meal involves the arms as much as the mouth. A short silicone bib covers the front; this one covers the sleeves your washing machine would otherwise inherit. Most kids move back to a short bib once the aim improves, somewhere past two.

Other products in this design. Hedgehogs is also available as a silicone bib. For a same-theme character on a plate, see the Bailey Bunny snack plate.

James ★★★★★

The hedgehog print is genuinely cute, and my son points at them while he eats. Best part is the sleeves cover his arms completely, so no more scrubbing oatmeal out of his shirt cuffs.

Nicholas ★★★★★

The sleeves actually stay down past her wrists, which means no more scrubbing sweet potato off her forearms after every meal. My daughter points at the hedgehogs while she eats, so at least someone in this house is entertained.

My little one decided her lunch was finger paint today, and I didn't have to change her shirt for once. The smock design catches every drip and the sleeves kept her forearms spotless through a full bowl of yogurt. The hedgehog print is such a cute touch for mealtime photos.
