A one-year-old will test whether the plate flies. This one stays on the tray while they find out.

Side-profile shark — not a face-on jaws shot. A suction snack plate in Sarah Shark — molded slate blue silicone in the shark’s shape, with the tail forming a second, smaller well. A base that anchors to the tray while a one-year-old tests the laws of physics, 100% platinum food-grade silicone, buttery smooth and lightweight. It’s part of the range Mothers Always Right chose as Best Silicone Baby Tableware in 2026.

The suction, honestly. Press it onto a smooth, non-porous surface and it holds through a determined dig. It releases if a toddler lifts from the edge at the right angle — a seal that couldn't would be the bigger problem.

Material and care. Food-grade, platinum-cured silicone. LFGB food-grade certified — the German food-contact standard, stricter than FDA requirements. BPA, PVC, phthalate, and lead free. Dishwasher safe, top rack. Microwave safe.

Common questions

Does the suction actually hold?

Press it onto a flat, non-porous surface — a tray or smooth table — and it holds. A determined toddler can lift it from the edge at the right angle. A seal that couldn't release would be the bigger problem.

Dishwasher and microwave safe?

Both — top rack for the dishwasher.

What age is it for?

Recommended for 6 months and up.

Will it work on our high chair tray?

If the tray is smooth and non-porous, yes. Textured or slotted trays break the seal.

Why the shape. The tail forms a second, smaller well — enough to keep the dip off the crackers — and the suction base presses onto any smooth surface so the plate stays where the meal started. The silicone wipes clean in seconds and goes in the top rack.

My one-year-old grabbed the edge and yanked hard, and the plate didn't budge off the tray. The slate blue shark shape is a nice change from the usual cartoon faces, and it holds yogurt, blueberries, whatever without sliding.

My 11-month-old tried the classic fling-and-watch maneuver during dinner tonight and the plate didn't budge a millimeter from the tray. I love that it's the side-profile shark shape, so it actually looks cute on the table instead of scary, and the slate blue color is a nice change from all the brigh

My toddler yanks at this thing with both hands and the tray stays clean—the suction is genuinely strong. The slate blue color and side-profile shark shape are subtle enough that it doesn't look like a cartoon toy on the table.
